Karumi is the Japanese word for "lightness". The famous Japanese poet Basho used it to mean "the beauty of ordinary things spoken of in a simple way".
Hi Gemma, this is a nice one. I was just thinking this morning, does the butterfly recognize the caterpillar?Your lines here made me think of my dog and after she rolls around on her back in the grass or of a child turning around unti being dizzy. Each when back onto his/her feet seems to say, "where am I?"..
That's a great question, Jim. Do butterflies realize they were once caterpillars?
Nice, it speaks to me of that momentary (though moments can be long!) hesitation before the leap, and of fear that is so frequently felt on the cusp of change, not knowing what will be the outcome of our action. Thank you
I like your explanation, Rudy!
You will be who you always were, this time with wings and a new look on life.
