This is actually a picture I found of a "scholar's retreat" that was rebuilt for the Met Museum in NY. It doesn't do it justice though, because the actual environment is very low light to capture the feel of "moon viewing" that takes place on these porches irl. You would have loved it, which is what the last line refers to!
