Karumi is the Japanese word for "lightness". The famous Japanese poet Basho used it to mean "the beauty of ordinary things spoken of in a simple way".

Hi there, Do you remember those too? Taking clover flowers and stringing them together to make necklaces? And in the summer .... catching lightening bugs?!?!?! Blowing dandelions? Today's generation misses so much of that.

That is so true! BTW, today's post about the "white from yellow" was composed before I saw your reference to dandelions! ;)
I always look forward to buttercups coming out. I think they are so beautiful.
